About Me

Randy Astle
I'm a father, filmmaker, writer, and artist interested in children's television, art, literature, movies, music, drama, interactive media, and any other creative endeavors for tiny tikes. I'm in New York and write professionally for preschoolers and older kids. I also do other production work--writing, directing, shooting, and editing--for adult media. This blog is meant to chronicle my dual position as both a parent and professional: a sort of daddy blog by someone who just happens to work in the industry I'm consuming. Some other interests include independent film, video art, Mormon cinema, transmedia, jazz, and Shakespeare, but we'll keep all that to a minimum. I can be contacted via comments posted here or randy@randyastle.com. Thanks for stopping by!
